Victoria Falls sits on the Zambezi River between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The town of Victoria Falls is the Zimbabwe base; Livingstone is the Zambian base. Accommodation and experiences are available on both sides, so build one clear route rather than assuming every activity is in the same country.
This website covers accommodation in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Victoria Falls International Airport serves the Zimbabwe side. Arriving via Livingstone means a different route and a border crossing to reach accommodation in Zimbabwe. See how to get to Victoria Falls.
The Zimbabwe side has the rainforest walk with a long series of viewpoints facing the Falls, plus Zambezi National Park and easy access to Chobe day trips. Some experiences, such as Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool, are on the Zambia side and are seasonal. If you want to do both sides, plan the border crossings into your days.
Zambia's immigration authority describes the KAZA UNIVISA as a visa for eligible travellers visiting Zimbabwe and Zambia, including qualifying day trips into Botswana through Kazungula. It is not available to every nationality, and it is not permission for an unrestricted stay in Botswana. Check the current official guidance, fee, validity and entry point for your passport before you travel.
